this past saturday i ran 10 miles. i was supposed to do it the prior weekend, but i was drinking heavily in orlando so i was only able to do 5 then. 10 miles done, and for the next 10 weekends, i will be running no less than 10 miles on a saturday. needless to say, keeping my friday nights reserved for early dinners and resting.
a few obstacles ahead include: 2 weddings (coming this weekend and next) and thanksgiving and christmas holidays. respectively, i'm supposed to run 12, 13, 16, and 20 miles during those weekends. this doesn't include the 2-3 days of running during the mid week as well (which is now creeping upward!)
this weeks proposed training schedule:
sun: cross
mon: rest
tues: 3 mi
weds: 6 mi
thurs: 3 mi
fri: rest
sat: 12 mi
i rested on sunday and today, i did cross training. since i'm most likely going to cut out one day of running during the week, i'll probably cut thursday's run. my legs are thanking me for it as there is significantly less pain and recovery needed.
weight update: 147.5 this AM.... but i was 146 after my 10 mile run on saturday! i guess Denny's for brunch and Miyako Sushi for dinner doesn't help yesterday...
